Collection of Segregated Plastics from Haritha Karma Sena
Kerala-LoGE’s third project focuses on collecting segregated plastics from Haritha Karma Sena (HKS), thereby providing them with an additional revenue source. This initiative aims to ensure that the collected plastics are efficiently utilized for recycling and co-processing, reducing waste accumulation while supporting sustainable waste management practices.
Under this project, payments to HKS will be made within three working days of material collection, ensuring prompt financial support. Additionally, we will offer the highest possible value for the materials based on current market rates. By streamlining the collection process and offering fair compensation, we aim to empower HKS workers, incentivize waste segregation, and strengthen the circular economy in Kerala.
Key Benefits of the Project:
- Empowering Waste Workers: Provides additional revenue streams for Haritha Karma Sena (HKS) workers by ensuring fair and timely compensation.
- Waste Reduction: Helps in reducing plastic waste accumulation in landfills and the environment by promoting efficient recycling and co-processing.
- Economic Contribution: Strengthens the local recycling industry by creating a steady supply of segregated plastic waste for reuse and reprocessing.
- Environmental Sustainability: Supports a cleaner ecosystem by diverting plastic waste from improper disposal methods and integrating it into a circular economy.
- Prompt Payment System: Ensures that HKS workers receive payments within three working days, enhancing financial stability and motivation.
Market-Based Pricing: Offers the highest possible value for collected materials based on prevailing market rates, promoting fairness and transparency in waste management.
